Picture two candles. One is yours, burning in your home. The other is in the hands of a friend who has never heard of Kenshi, with a $25 voucher tucked inside and your story to go with it.

Kenshi is a social enterprise. Every candle or diffuser we sell funds exactly 500 grams of pasta or rice, and we hand-pour every one in Melbourne with refugees from Myanmar. This Christmas we are aiming for 10 tonnes, which is 20,000 packs of food. We cannot do it alone, so we are doing something that looks like a crazy risk: we are pouring 5,000 mid size candles and giving every one of them away, to be handed to people who have never heard of us by people who have.

3 ways to create a kinder world together

With your order: a candle to give away

Every large candle, every diffuser and every $50 of hampers and bundles in your order brings a mid size candle in your box, with a $25 voucher inside.

It is not for you. It is a gift for someone who loves candles and diffusers. Hand it over and tell them where it came from. Their first order takes $25 off, with no minimum spend, and from there every candle or diffuser they choose funds exactly 500 grams of food.

Printed $25 vouchers are in your box as well, ready for anyone else you think of.

With your network: your own Kenshi code

Once your order is on its way, we email you a Kenshi code that is yours. Anyone who uses it takes $25 off their first order, and we tell you the exact kilograms of food their orders fund. Share it with your family, your friends, your workplace and your socials.

With your community: love Kenshi? Give it away yourself

Tell us how you would like to share Kenshi, in your office, your school, your club or your street, and email kenshi@kenshicandles.com with how many candles you would like and your plan. We send them to you free, delivery included, each with a card and a $25 voucher.

Questions

Which orders count? Orders placed on this website. The candles we include are a mix of our fragrances, as poured. Wholesale and corporate orders are not part of this.

What does not count? Wick trimmers, mini candles and gift vouchers do not bring a mid size candle.

Does the candle I give away fund food? The candle itself is a gift. The food is funded by every candle or diffuser the person you gave it to chooses next, exactly 500 grams each.
