Kopanang Community Trust
In a climate where extreme poverty, unemployment, violence and the continual spectre of death and loss are rampant, the Kopanang project (45km south-west of Johannesburg, South Africa) provides its women members and families with a safe environment. It stands as a beacon of hope, a community of faith and offers empowerment and sustainability through income-generating skills training.
Kopanang Community Trust is a faith-based project directed to women's empowerment in an economically deprived township in South Africa. It provides skills-based income-generating training for its members impacted by poverty and HIV/AIDS and is known for its strong community support ethos.
